Scientists now seem to agree that there is a possible link between what you eat and which gender youll conceive.
Pregnant women on high calorie diet are more likely to have a baby boy!
Also, eating food rich in nutrients such as potassium and calcium, and vitamins C, D and B12 seems to upper your chance of conceiving a baby boy!
Where those conclusions came from? Actually, its from a new research done at the universities of Exeter and Oxford. The scientists examined the diets of a large number of first-time mothers and found that those who ate a higher number of calories were more likely to conceive with a boy!
Among women with the highest calorie intake before pregnancy - 56 percent had boys.
Women who had boys also ate an additional 300 mg of potassium daily!

It has been speculated for the last 30 years in the scientistic world that the diet of a mother could predict the gender of a baby. There has been enough evidence that diet in mammals can affect the sex of their offspring. Namely, a lot of mammals when well fed produce more boys, while in starvation situation there are more girls than boys being born.
Seems like there are more nutrients needed to conceive a boy rather than a girl In any case: now you have one more reason not to skip breakfast!:) Especially when you hear this next piece of statistics:
Eat at least one bowl of breakfast cereal daily and you will have a 87 percent more chance that youll conceive a baby boy!
So, treat yourself with an additional serving of steak with potatoes and have a piece of cake:)
But dont overdo it! Never forget that proper nutrition is essentially important for a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.

So, from observation of many stores, such as, Target, Babies-R-Us and USA Baby I have found that there are more options for baby girls. There are not as many choices and options for baby boys, that portion of the store is usually very small. Any ideas as to why this is?

Girls are expected to be pretty and like pink, and boys are expected to not care about fashion and like sports."and girls can go really girly or not so much, where as boys can pretty much only go boyish." << Why though? Because that's what society expects.

Alden is now wearing 0-3 month clothing and normally I shop at stores like target, kohls, and the children's place (pricey) but boys clothes tend to be so plain and boring! Any suggestions?-

Boys clothes are SO hard to come by... There's such a HUGE selection of girls clothing and like nothing in the boy's section.... Wal-Mart and Target are the WORST... I love them because sometiems they have the 3 or 4 dollar onesies and pants to mix and match and you can't beat that but I hate it because the boys section is so tiny it's ridiculous... you have like no options!I have found that shopping in the baby sections at department stores like Dillards, Macy's, JC Penny's, Sears, etc is the best.. They have a much better selection of ADORABLE clothes and full outfits for baby and they really are not that expensive.. Everytime I go they have some sort of sale and I usually walk out with a good ammount of new clothes for a good price. We dont' have alot of extra money around here so if it were too much I woudlnt' shop there. Don't let the word 'department store' scare you away! lol
Also try places like Ross, TJ Maxx & Marshalls... It's always a hit or miss but I have found stuff in there that is to die for and it's cheap!

Carters has a lot of great polo onesies for baby boys right now, and button up plaid shirts... khaki pants, cargo shorts, plaid overalls... all sorts! And theya re having a nice sale on everything too! Check out a carters or oshkosk or gymboree! They have a ton of cute stuff!

Why are the clothes for baby boys so generic, and where to go to find something cool?
What I'm getting at is, there are so many cool clothes for new born baby girls. Yes some is your generic "this shirt is pink with a flower on it so it's for girls", but there are some really cool unique designs also.What boys have is "blue shirt with basketball slapped on the chest equal boy clothes" and thats it. But I want to get things like a cute hat with a bear design/bear cartoony ears with a nice theme to the outfit. Or basically anything that isn't just some basic blue shirt with after thought football icon slapped on the front.
So, why are boy clothes so generic, and where do people find baby boy clothes that actually have some cool and cute style to them?
