QUESTION:
Do you think little girl clothes have gotten kind of trashy? Why not little boy clothes?
I've seen this mentioned elsewhere, and it prompted me to notice a little girl outside the other day. She looked about six, and was wearing skin-tight jeans and a midriff shirt. Clothing manufacturers put sayings on clothes for small girls such as "Hot Stuff" and "Love Me"...
You never see a little boy shirt that says "Big Papa" or "Stud".
Is it weird to tell our kids not to think about sex and then indulge girls' desires to dress like 17 year olds?-
ANSWER:
I am a teacher in NY and I am shocked at the way parents dress their children. I have seen little girls in tiny little skirts with their bellies and undies showing. The fashions are not all that comfortable because these little girls are constantly pulling and tugging on their skirts, or try to pull up their tiny little low risers. Shoes also have gotten out of hand whatever happened to Mary Jane type shoes there were girls in my class whose heals were higher than mine. It's disgusting. The sad thing is that when the mom's pick them up you begin to understand why.

QUESTION:
Is 0.00 a lot of money to spend on clothing for two little boys, one is six and a half and the other two?
I am planning to go to JCPenney, they have a sale going on. I told my husband to set aside 0 and I would too, so that we can buy our two boys some clothes, he thinks it is too much money. My thinking is that this would cover them up for the next two months, including Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.-
ANSWER:
If you're buying them each one pair of pants and one shirt, I'd say, yeah, that too much. But if you're buying them both a lot of clothes for that money, what's the problem? They're six; they'll be an inch or two taller next week. And hopefully the clothes will last them longer than two months. Buy them just a little bigger so they can grow into them and have them for a while.

QUESTION:
When do little boy's clothes start getting into slim and husky sizes?
My son needs a 7 husky. Is there such a thing? a 7x is just longer not wider. He has thick thighs and a bubble butt.-
ANSWER:
My oldest was like this & we had a rough time finding clothes for her. She is now older and can wear womans clothes which is nice. She's 14.I remember searching & coming up empty handed. But I do remember one time on a rare trip to the mall finding extra large sizes of kids clothes. I think it was either Sears or Belks. It was department store that is usually found in malls. I was browsing & just happened to see they had plus sizes for kids.
With my daughter we often put her in overalls. They can be bought at a larger size & you can make it fit your child by just adjusting the straps. That worked well for us.
Our doctor always told us that she would grow out of it. She said she'd just shoot up one day and her height would catch up with her weight which is what happened once she hit puberty. She was never over weight and we were next told to put her on a diet. She is just big boned and so are most females on my husband's side of the family.
She is now 14, taller than my short 5' & weighs less than me. ; )
Oh if all else fails by a lot of sweats. During the fall & winter my daughter would often live in these. They are comfortable and fit her well.
